Let’s ‘Pretend’ What It Means

Please note this is strictly hypothetical and has no actual bearing on our value or payout. Nothing here is set in stone or should be taken as an indicator of things to come. This is a fun way to get an understanding of the potential of what you are invested in.

We get questions about this all the time, so let’s play it out.

Let’s say that as of today, even with another $50,000 plus needed to be wired with available funds, that we have a total number of shares at 50,775,000 (actual total).

There are currently 2,580 blocks distributed.

50,775,000 divided by 2,580 equals 19,680 shares per block.

Let’s say there is a revaluation in the Iraqi dinar and every stock is valued at just $1.00.

That would mean that our value of stocks is $50,775,000.00.

That would equate to a value of each block at $19,680.00.

If the stock pays dividends of 10%, each block would get $1,968.00 (less fees, exchange fees, etc.) per year.

This is what you would earn for each block each year.

This can’t possibly be estimated or even anticipated of course, but can give you an idea where your investment may lead.

Let’s say dinar revalued at just $1. This would mean TASC would have an initial value of around $7. per share since it is around 7 dinar per share now. We currently have 18,735,000 shares. That would equate to a total value of $131,145,000 or $50,831.00 per block. Paying only 10% (actual dividends were well over 10% the last 3 years) would be an annual return of $5,083.00 per block per year. That is only one stock. Not bad for a $110 investment!

What if the dinar revalues at $2 per? Or $3? You have to play around with the numbers and it can be quite staggering.

We don’t know what is going to happen or when, but getting into the stock market rather than investing only in dinar has the potential to do far better and create a much more lucrative return.

This example is for entertainment purposes only and does not reflect any factual details. You must decide what you believe the value may be of the Iraq dinar. You play with the numbers using your own estimation knowing we don’t know if or when the value will change or at what value it may change to.

Have fun playing with the numbers.

  1. Your hypothetical numbers made me smile Andy. The potential of the Iraqi Stock Exchange is ‘sky-is-the-limit’.
